And I’m over here carrying a first-gen PPS in an OWB holster because it’s comfortable and doesn’t get in the way.

I know an elderly guy who, way back in the 1970s, had a Webley revolver in .45ACP (moon clips). It was essentially impossible to hold the thing in any sort of ergonomic manner.
Still, it worked to deter an automobile thief who tried hotwiring a car in the owner’s driveway.
Old hotness: Beware the man with only one gun, for he likely know how to use it.
New hotness (actually old hotness, too): It isn’t the gun, it is the person holding it, that matters.

Since I believe in carrying a larger pistol (M&P Compact is as small as it gets), I have to dress around the pistol. Maybe I am carrying it wrong, but it works for me.

One of these days I’ll break out the .44 magnum Super Redhawk with a 7.5″ barrel and carry that on my hip. If anyone notices I’ll tell them that it’s “the most powerful handgun in the world and would blow your head clean off”.
Now that’s old school.
