A gun shop submits his paper work for a Glock 18, complete with sheriff’s letter. ATF processes the paperwork. Then ATF notices the sheriff’s letter was out of date. So, they want to seize the gun from the shop.
ATF can’t get paperwork right. No big deal for them. If you get the paperwork wrong, it’s a big deal for you.
And reading through the article, it seems the dealer and sheriff just wanted to be able to get some cool toys.

The NYPD is issuing Glock 17s with 15 round magazines:
The gun, as designed, can hold 17-round magazines two more than the Glock 19. But the NYPD had the manufacturer customize the Glock 17s to carry only 15 rounds so it would be consistent with the interchangeable Glock 19 magazine.
The lack of logic in this astounds me.
Background Check Laws May Actually Interfere With Suicide Prevention Efforts.
The make the case that states that have required checks for all transfers may lead someone who is suicidal to not give their guns to family members.
This does not warrant a “the future is stupid” tag as I can see this benefiting some people.

With the way Google tracks everything and the way the want to ban anything that I like, like gun stuff, what other options are available? I mean, a full service solution for email, calendar, phone, everything. I’ve never cared for Apple products and don’t really dig how they treat their devices or customers. The windows phone and computer combo seems workable but its dearth of comparable apps available is limiting.
Is there anything I’m missing?
The Pentagon recently released detailed guidance that allows U.S. military personnel to carry privately owned, concealed firearms on base, a move that the Army’s service chief argued against publicly.
“Arming and the Use of Force,” a Nov. 18 Defense Department directive approved by Deputy Secretary of Defense Robert Work, lays out the policy and standards that allow DoD personnel to carry firearms and employ deadly force while performing official duties.

At 16, a teen was committed to a mental facility because he was thought to be suicidal. At 16, obviously not an adult. At the age of 21, he went to buy a gun. He was denied and charged with lying on the form to purchase. He wants his gun rights restored and is suing.
