Laws named after people are usually dumb laws
McKaylas Law is no exception. Some democrats in Tennessee want to pass a law holding parents responsible when a child uses a gun and it results in injury or death. Basically, they want to punish people in cases that would usually be considered accidental. And if, say, a 13 year old steals a gun from your house and kills someone, what then?

It’s just the usual crap by antis wanting to criminalize honest people who happen to own guns.
“if, say, a 13 year old steals a gun from your house and kills someone, what then?”
There was some asshole in Washington State a few years back who wanted to make owners of a stolen gun that was used in a crime accessories to said crime. When told that that would criminalize honest people who were crime victims themselves, he arrogantly replied; (showing what his intent is) “if you don’t want that to happen then get rid of your guns.”

So my dog bites you in the ass.
I’m liable. Criminally and civilly
My feral kid shoots you? Oh well.
Wouldn’t mind holding parents criminally liable for their evil get.
