Our long national nightmare is over
Or will be. That nightmare being this election. It will, however, be replaced with a new one: One of these people is going to be president. I don’t know that it matters much which corrupt life-long democrat from New York wins. I just kind of hope that when the dust settles, which I doubt will be tonight, that each side can just say GG and move on. But I doubt that, as well.
I’ll make my prediction. It’s Hillary’s to lose. By most polls, she’s ahead. But a few factors could swing it the other way. I think that a low turnout by millennials and blacks may play into it. And the high turnout in early voting seems to favor Trump. There’s also the theory I’ve seen posited that a lot of Trump supporters are people who have never voted or haven’t voted in a while and they are underrepresented (if at all) in polling. I don’t find this theory particularly convincing but if such a demographic can be awakened, it would be by a populist like Trump.

Just because Hitlery served as senator does not make her “from New York.” She’s from the Chicago suburbs.

(and at least as corrupt as that implies, not that anyone else is any better)

Here in KC there have been HUGE lines in the more conservative parts of town. Tremendous number of people who quite obviously hadn’t voted in a LONG time – they had to have the entire ballot process explained to them.
Based on the news reports the parts of town that are more likely to vote for HRC had people finishing voting in just a few minutes vs. the 4 HOUR lines in my part of town.

Holy fuck, did we just go red? I think we just went red? For the red man.

Welcome to Brexit/USA.

The NRA just bought back their SCOTUS seat with 0.0 help from uncle..

It looks like we picked the slower handbasket.

Uncle, you coined it: Don’t Scare White People.
This is how white people riot when they’re upset.

Time to investigate the Clinton crime syndicate. We can’t let them ride into the sunset.
What did we learn from this? That the media lies. That the media is wholly owned by the DNC. That the FBI is corrupt. And is much of the national government.
And give President Trump a chance. He is the best hope this Republic has. This was a revolution. Our Brexit. It is just a beginning. You never Trumpers need to get off it. You were wrong. Time for you to represent.

Heck, Heck! I know I wouldn’t have been any happier had Hillary won.
The ones who are invested are Trump’s supporters. They are the ones who stand to be disappointed. Or not. Those of us who were not invested have nothing to lose.

“Those of us who were not invested have nothing to lose.”
If you live in America you are very invested.
November 9th, 2016 at 1:14 pm
Well put Heck.
November 9th, 2016 at 2:41 pm
I would have voted for a shit-flinging Rhesus Monkey to keep Hillary out of office. And I probably did.
November 9th, 2016 at 3:52 pm
@heck “If you live in America you are very invested.”
Not in the way you think. We are invested in America, but Trumpalos are invested in Trump the man. We know it’ll be bad either way, but since we did pump up the liberal New York Democrat who donated to and praised Clinton, we are not invested in him.

P H 2nd:
This election was the equivalent of walking along a train trestle, KNOWING there will be a train coming along eventually, and suddenly, there it is! Your choice is: stand there and get smashed by the train, or jump over the side into the river. Outrunning the train is not possible. Two choices only. You #neverTrumpers wanted all of us to take the train choice, a guaranteed hit, instead of the drop into water. Sure, there is a possibility of some sort of injury in that choice, but the potential for real harm is less.
Your logic is faulty. I’m not thrilled by the unknowns involved in that choice, but to not take it would be the height of stupidity. Some people are unable to make choices, because they can’t handle the stress involved when things aren’t very clearly determined.

“We are invested in America, but Trumpalos are invested in Trump the man.”
Did you read any of the WikiLeaks? Hillary Clinton is a traitor and operates an international crime RICO syndicate. And you sit on your ass?
What part of that do you not comprehend? People like you brought us two terms of Barack Obama. Let me explain simply. Mitt Romney got more votes than Trump and still lost. It is people like you with your purity that fuck up America.
Trump won by doing what Reagan did. Bringing over Democrats to fill in for your vote because your Goddamn sophist purity let you sit on your ass. You are not Patrick Henry. In any way.
You never Trumpers need to wake up.
November 9th, 2016 at 5:18 pm
I’m with you Heck. Those who sat home should just STFU and go away. Forever.
The Republic was saved last night. This was all about the SCOTUS and the Second Amendment for me.

“The Republic was saved last night. This was all about the SCOTUS and the Second Amendment for me.”
Yes, well said.

There is a time and place for ideological purity, and my read is that 2016 is not it. Maybe 2020, or 2024, or in certain midterms in some districts.
November 9th, 2016 at 11:22 pm
History was made by the people who did vote for Trump.

That is record setting numbers. This is a revolution. The Never Trumper’s sat it out. No more lectures from you. You lost your credibility.
November 9th, 2016 at 11:37 pm
You young’uns are so excitable. Trump will be my 12th President. Or is it the 13th? I’ve lost count. They come and they go. I didn’t expect nothing from Trump on November 8, I’m not asking for nothing on November 9, and I won’t get between you and any bones he throws you.
And for the record, I did not seat the election out. I went out to get a Republican Congress and state and county government like I’ve been doing for a lot of elections that I’ve lost count of too.
