More on fake news
Epitomizing everything about the internet, the study that said “fake news” beat “real news” turned out to be fake news. Meanwhile, the list of fake news sites includes among them sites that are not fake news but has opinions the professor doesn’t like.

You mean, the fake news story about fake news stories, is a fake news story about real news.
I’m shocked, absolutely shocked that the real fake news would stoop to such fake news tactics as to be actually promoting it’s own fake news over other news.
Propagandists are funny, their directors who want you disarmed and dead, not so much.

Reportedly, facebook massively overcharged the Clinton campaign for advertisements, based on ‘customer interest’ metrics which included the mouse coming ‘near’ the ad, and conservatives clicking on the ad with no intention of donating. As you would expect, the brainiacs in the Clinton campaign weren’t careful with other people’s money. Only after she lost have the superdonors started investigating.

I, for one, love it that the con artist got conned by a better con artist. And that it cost her both money, and probably the election.

Problem-reaction-solution: those who warn us against “fake news”want to control information and opinion outlets to protect us from “fake news”.
I still recall Obama speaking to graduates at a college commencement maybe 4-5 years ago. He cautioned them that the Internet had too much information and opinion which would only “confuse” them.
