Cool bits from SHOT
It was predicted it would be the year of the pistol caliber carbine. But it looks like the Year of the Suppressor. So, let’s hope the hearing protection act passes.
A look at the latest version of the Maxim 9 from SilencerCo. If the hearing protection act passes, I see no reason not to buy one of these.

I have a pretty decent collection of NFA stamps that I hope will be worth less than the paper they were printed on, let alone the cost and trouble it took to collect them.
The only downside will be competing with all you people when they are over-the-counter instant/NICS accessible. But again – I can live with it.

If the HPA act passes, or gets rolled into a bill because of reconciliation (It’s a tax/revenue bill, doncherknow), I am going to go down to the gun store and get on the waiting list for a Maxim 9, then I’m going to have to see a doctor because something will have persisted for more than four hours.

Why should you have to fill out a form and get a NICS check to buy a suppressor?

State and local laws will still need to allow them. That will happen where I am because the gunfire from the gangs shooting at each other keeps the aldermen from sleeping at night.
