Life in the future
The first commercially available flying car.
Now, that’s what I’m talking about. The future is expensive.

Yeah, it’s a helicopter, or an auto gyro. Doesn’t matter, because it doesn’t exist. Like ike all “flying cars”‘ they’re taking orders but they’re not shipping. In any case you’re not going to be taking off from, or landing on, that highway in the photo because that wingspan far exceeds your lane width.
Nothing to see here. A regular aircraft that can “taxi” on a highway, folding wings or no, is nothing new. I believe that was done in the 1940s or ’50s.

Also; why do they show it, wings folded, driving out on the open highway on a nice day when it could be flying? They should show it zooming over miles and miles of traffic jam at rush hour. They got the imagery all wrong.
The driving bit would only be desirable around town and in parking garages and such.
If they didn’t think of that, of what else aren’t they thinking?
Years ago I went down that rabbit hole on-line, and it was already so bad that companies were posting flight characteristics specifications for vehicles that had never flown.
I’ll believe this stuff only when I start seeing them at used car lots in my home town and I can test fly them myself.

Well shit, that ain’t the Jetson car I was promised when I was eight. Just as well, I could never swing those payments on what they pay down at Spaceley’s Sprockets.
