As the not-really-joke goes, Trumpster Fire did more for libertarian notions in the first 48 hours of his Presidency than Ron Paul did in 48 years of service.

It was the classical liberal SCOTUS justice, William O. Douglas, who wrote, ” the closest the founders came to the affirmative side of Liberty was in the right to bear arms”. Libertarians would agree, but most “liberals” would not since they have morphed into reactionary authoritarians. Trump campaigned more for 2nd Amendment rights than any presidential candidate in history which is certainly a libertarian position.
