Release of CIA hacking tools
Right here, from wikileaks. Via Schneier, with some commentary.
So, basically the .gov can hack in to any of your devices, including TeeVees, and listen to you. And, apparently, they have software that makes their hacks look like the Russians did the hacking.
The bypassed encryption on several messaging apps as well.
The CIA has a covert base in Germany. I’m sure Merkel is happy about it.
And the government paid to have software left intentionally unsafe.
Also, hacking into cars. Well, that’d be a good way to get rid of someone and make it look like an accident.

Oh, now that’s a fun conspiracy theory (not saying you’re proposing it – I’ll take ownership of it myself):
If the CIA can make their hacks look like the Russians did it, and the DNC was hacked “by the Russians”…

Pop the air bag at 70 mph and nobody would question a thing.

Remember, wikileaks said they did not get the DNC info and Podesta emails from the Russians, but from a direct personal source.

Good way to get rid of somebody – such as Michael Hastings?

Yep, “Russians”… sure…

None of this is really new.

The CIA killed John Noveske! You bastards!

Seriously Uncle? Linking Snowden, an actual, live, Russian agent as an authoritative source for anti-US propaganda?

1. They can make a hack look like it came from the Russians; AND…
2. They lost exclusive ownership of their tools, and copies of the kit are floating around Darknet
But remember, 42 government agencies all agreed that the Russians put a gun to Donna’s head and made the Ctrl-left give Hillary the primary and general debate questions in advance, and then leaked the evidence of their actions to Wikileaks just to make them look bad. Or something like that.
But people don’t care. Otherwise we wouldn’t all carry GPS tracking devices that can act as remote microphones or 1984-like telescreens in our pockets. We wouldn’t bug our own homes with voice-activated spies that report back to the mother-server.
