Remington and Colt layoffs
This doesn’t seem to jibe with February being the third best month for NICS checks but Massad Ayoob says the two gun makers are laying people off.

Remington may be suffering from saturation of AR market.
Colt is … well, Colt.

Is Colt out of bankruptcy yet?

I hope not. Colt being out of bankruptcy protection is one of the Signs of The Apocalypse.

Remington’s QC is shite, and Colt is trading entirely on that little pony on the slide.

No surprise. They are the two weakest companies right now. Both resting on their laurels while cranking out turds.

The new Detective Special and the Mustang Pocketlite are pretty high on my want list.

Whoops, sorry, I guess they’re calling it a “cobra” now.

Colt= Not knowing or caring what we want.
Remington = Knowing what we want, and executing on it sloppily, negligently, and even callously. Brand ruination done right. I really want a new Marlin. Every one I pick up and handle is gooched in some way, making it not worth the asking price.

Good Juxtaposition with the last post;
February 2017 was the third highest month for NICS checks.

Colt is now just a name and Remington is following suit.

I think some states use the NICS to double check CCW n’stuff.

You mean two of the worst-managed gun companies are laying workers off despite a burgeoning market?
I’m shocked, I tell you!
