Not for me

Did the Single-Stack Nine Kill the Carry Revolver?

A fair point, I think, for the civilian market and police.

Not for me. I had a single stack 9mm for a while (an Shield with a laser). But I found that when I wanted to go smaller, I really wanted to go small and pocket carry. The single stack 9mms aren’t suited to that for me and based on how I dress. So I’ll probably end up picking up a snubby of some kind and a pocket holster for those places where I can’t carry a gun.

But if I’m going to strap on a holster, I really see no reason to not carry a full size gun with a lot more BBs and a more pleasing grip.

Exactly. However, the basic J Frame 5-shot snubbie revolver is a lot thicker than a little single-stack auto, and it still has a lot of grip hanging out there in spite of the short barrel. It’s a big pocket-full, so maybe you’re talking a NAA mini revolver.

Remember the Beretta Tomcat in the puissant .32ACP?
Or the Glock 42 in .380? Or anything that came on the market in between those models? Yeah, it isn’t just revolvers destroyed by the Glock 43 in 9mm, and all the other tiny nines before and since. Small pocket 9mms have leave a whole bunch of guns and calibers gathering dust on the gun store shelves.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
