Silly publicity stunt for gun control

TN Representative Mike Stewart, D-Ranged, doesn’t like lawful commerce. So, he decided to set up a stand to sell lemonade, cookies, and an AK47 to show how easy it is to sell guns. As to his bill, I’m no sure what it does since the reporting on it is lacking:

Rep. Stewart is presenting bill HB1319, which is designed to restrict the sale or transfer to a federally licensed gun dealer, before a subcommittee vote Wednesday morning.

I’d have walked up and bought it.

The bill apparently requires background checks for private gun sales. So how would that be enforced without violating the 4th and 5th Amendment rights of those doing the transaction? Or would it just be a matter of an LEO observing and apprehending those involved?

    Smells like Bloomberg.

DID HIS LEMONADE STAND HAVE ALL THE CORRECT PERMITS???!!!!

  4. Hartley Says:

You’d buy a $400 AK for $700? I hear he didn’t sell any lemonade or cookies, either. Must have been the odor of “professional politician” that turned his customers off.

Should set up a stand next to him offering to take bribes and personal favors in exchange for legislative votes. With a note at the bottom that says foreign currency is accepted.

    Two can play that game!

  6. Jay Dee Says:

Actually, the proper response is to file a complaint with the state police and BATFEIEIO alleging straw purchase.

I would have talked him down to $300, then called him a little bitch as I walked away.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
