The Olympic Arms OA-98. Someone I know, at the time those came out, worked for a .gov agency that would have need for something like that. So, I got to play with it once. It was a loud little gun.

I’m still mildly peeved that Olympic Arms bought the Wolverine patents, didn’t do a whole lot with them, and then folded. Lord knows when that pattern will show back up again.

It’s been way too long since I’ve had one in my hands to remember dimensions precisely, but the original AR-180 from Armalite achieved much the same thing with a pair of recoil springs entirely within the receiver.
