Despicable
Jury finds man guilty of jury tampering after passing out juror rights pamphlets. This is absolutely ridiculous. I expect this behavior from prosecutors and judges. But I’d never thought a jury would convict.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

Obviously, the second jury never got to read the pamphlets, even as evidence.

It also seems to me that the fix was in with the judge barring any argument or instructions on his First Amendment defenses.

The court system treats juries like mushrooms: kept in the dark and fed a steady diet of bullshit.
They also tend to weed out the smarter ones. Can’t have any independent thought getting in the way of the prosecutor’s next election run.
