I’ve noticed this too
Hospital Carry: the Next Frontier for the Right to Self-Defense.
Around here, it seems to be a pretty recent development at doctors’ offices too. My guess is that it is for insurance purposes.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

It is an urban issue. The local docs have gun magazines in their waiting rooms. I even ran into my dentist in a shooting class. The ones that are branches of city practices have their signs. Fortunately, it is not a legal issue here so they worst they can do is kick me out.

My doc is a shooter as is two of his nurses.
If there are drugs at a place y’all might want to be strapped. Just sayin’.

“insurance purposes”
Yeah, that’s why I carry everywhere; insurance.

No, it isn’t insurance. The medical profession is run by groups like the AMA, which are anti-gun and stress this philosophy to their practitioners. My wife’s pediatric group practice has the large, legally required “no concealed or open carry” 30.06 & 30.07 posters on the front door of the clinic here in Texas, because the American Pediatrics Association says guns are BAD.

Medical establishments are filled with ‘gun’ magazines because I drop some at every office I visit. I even put them in the Men’s rooms. It’s rewarding when I’m leaving and I see a patient reading one.
You’re welcome.
