The writer omits one item of concealed carry that surprised the heck out of me when it first happened.
For 10 years I carried a Glock 19 in an IWB kydex holster. A year ago, I gave that to my son and now I carry a Glock 42 in a pocket holster.
I have, more than once now, been surprised when undressing to put my hand in the right side pocket and feel a gun grip. Yes, by the end of the day I forgot I was carrying, and I am ashamed enough to admit it. And I then mentally reviewed every place I visited during the day, to make sure I didn’t violate a Post Office or other prohibited location.
Thanks to mikee, TIL there’ is such a thing as “too comfortable” for carry.
You know those dreams where you’re back in school and freak out because you didn’t study for an exam? When I was carrying, I’d have the occasional dream where I would be in Canada (where I have family, and visit regularly) and find that somehow I accidentally smuggled my G19 with me, and now I have to figure out how to get it back in the US before I get busted.

Initially I thought, “There’s nothing I hate about concealed carry”, but then I read the piece.
Yes; all of those. Nicely done. Thanks for the link.
