That’s pretty awesome. It ended before the process ran its full course though.
In the end the sweet, puppy-eyed Anime girl would have the man in chains. Eventually he’d find an opening and dash her brains out with the loose end of a chain, then take back the cake. History tells us that he would then likely kill all of her family, friends, and even acquaintances, and set himself up as the new dictator, worse than the last.
America is extremely rare in that the last part never happened. That is because this country was (back then) founded in some true moral principles, coming primarily from the Judeo/Christian narrative.
They beauty of that cartoon is that once they get single payer healthcare, the cake will really be a cake…since cake is unhealthy, and since your health would then be the government’s business…
Actual conversation I had with a lib at work not long after Newtown.
Her: But it’s common sense!
Me: How does a universal background check stop a nut who kills his mom and steals her guns?
Her: Oh… why can’t you just compromise.
Me: Ok, which half of the 22,000 gun laws would you like to repeal. Or would you rather I gave you a list I’d like to use to start the discussions?
