If you take people’s property, they’ll eventually stop producing it, for there would be no point. Top half of the Laffer Curve and all– Zero percent taxation equals zero tax revenue, and 100% taxation soon equals zero tax revenue as well.
I suppose that’s the goal; inhibited productivity. One of the classic tendencies of a socialist is that they believe the human race to be a stain on an otherwise pristine Earth. It’s also why they don’t balk at the mass genocides committed by other socialists. Their main lust however is for total control over others, under some made-up claim of “greater good”.
So for the Greater Good we must have a system based on coercion of everyone.
