This story is wildly misleading. He surveillance on Manafort in particular long predates the Trump campaign. Flynn pretty clearly violated the law, taking money from overseas governments. There are no indications that Trump was the target of any wiretaps, and any recordings of him are incidental, contra that headline.
If you associate with shady types, what the hell else do you expect?

The wiretapping predated Managort’s involvement to the Trump campaign like you said.
The part you left out is that surveillance had ended on Manafort, but once Trump won the nomination it miraculously started up again.

When Obama was accused of associations with violent terrorist, Bill Ayers, he asserted “guilt by association ” was wrong.
But when the government engages in surveillance of “shady types” foreign nationals, it is illegal to unmask U.S. citizens to whom they may be speaking. To do so and leak those names to the media is a crime. That absolutely should be investigated and prosecuted which Mueler should be doing as “a related matter” of alleged Russian collusion.
Collusion isn’t a crime unless two or more persons are colluding or conspiring to commit a crime. Just wondering, is it illegal collusion to interfere with elections when foreign nationals not here legally are allowed to vote?
