Why are anti-gun activists so violent?
A former gang member and anti-gun advocate buys a gun for protection. Ok, then.

An awakening. Seeing more of that every day. It’s a good thing.

Nah! It’s just typical self styled progressives and their two sets of rules. One set for you and me. A special set of rules for themselves.

Is it an ‘awakening’ or a mental disconnect? I’m not sure. Personally she advocated for semi-auto bans and more background checks. For years, however, she’s been working w/ anti-gun politicians and activists who oppose any form of firearm ownership and gone on the usual anti-police bandwagon. The very same people who fought tooth and nail to keep Chicago from allowing not only CCW but handgun ownership entirely.

People learn, and personal experience is the best teacher. Unless there are a lot more awakenings to the fact that the shit they have been handed for their whole lives was just to keep them down on the farm -or plantation- we will not win the civil/social war that is not just coming but is in full swing right now.

I was concerned, reading the interview, that this person had a very bat attitude favoring retribution when she got her carry license. I was overjoyed to see that she had the sense and responsibility to NOT act out on her feelings when faced with her son being injured.
Owning firearms can, and I would argue usually does, foster personal responsibility and respect for the rights of others. This is a case demonstrating that.

This reminds me of the oft mocked adage “The only justified abortion is my abortion.” when anti-abortion advocates get an abortion but think that their situation is different.
