There is no “the poor” just as there is no “the homeless”. Those are for the most part transitory conditions, in flux and subject to improvement…unless the natural progression is interrupted by the dole which is very effective at keeping people down, their souls and self respect bought and paid for just a vote.

The details don’t much matter because they are treating it as a zero sum game. As long as they continue to take money from some people and give it to others while keeping the size of the .gov the same, it won’t make much difference on a macroeconomic scale.
If they really want to stimulate growth, they’d cut taxes across the board and stand back and watch the money flow in from increased economic activity.

The left wants “refundable tax credits”, which are tax credits that are paid, even when the recipient pays no taxes.
It’s redistributed income. The Earned Income Tax Credit is an example. Many EITC “credits” end up in the pocket of people who pay no taxes and have little “earned income”.

As usual, the MSM is doing all that it can, working to make sure that the Donald does not succeed. I do believe that the MSM would encourage a terrorist attack on the US if they could blame it on Trump. – – – – – – – What am I saying, they would blame it on Trump.

Victoria’s Secrets is always having some kind of bra sale and it’s not fair that I cannot get the benefits of it just because I don’t buy or wear bras. They should just send me a check.

@Ken: Well, actually…according to the left you are perfectly capable of wearing those bras anyway. If you want a check from the left it’s probably going to cover a “transition” surgery.
Unless you are a lucky member of the current victim club (good chance considering the list includes anyone but white males), you are expected to pay for your transgressions – not benefit in any way. Of course, your reparations are based upon a hierarchy that changes daily: I think right now being Muslim trumps being gay or transgender but every night things change.
Just keep an eye on the rankings for your chance to maximize your social justice victim score – and remember you can collect in multiple categories. When you are close enough to the top, just yell “Reeeeeeee!!!!” on any college campus to collect your prize.
