Maybe it could use external rifling on the barrel for stabilization of the projectile.
“Plasma coil”. Heh! But it’s a “rate reducer”.
It needs some fuel mixture that burns brighter in visible light.
It could launch a nice, hollow arrow too, and with some precision.
A passive one-way valve could be constructed, such that its resting position is partially open, thus meeting both criteria of exhibiting no resistance to fueling and providing a seal under the pressure of firing. It would prevent most of the back blast from going back down the fire path to the torch nozzle. I like the four flats on the barrel but that design still blasts back down the fuel tube.
When will it come in the 6,000 RPM Gatling version?
The heavy, crew-served version would run on five gallon propane tanks, or (holy shit ) oxy-‘cetylene.
This would be pretty cool as a cosplay weapon if you replace the propane bottle with an centrifugal fan to make an airflow through the spiraling transparent outer tubes, atomize and inject 99% rubbing alcohol into that airflow, then use a piezoelectric lighter element to light it off.
Now, how to get it to shoot out a flaming alcohol ring… maybe through a camera lens type expanding aperture…?
