The sheer prejudice in two articles about blacks owning guns and trans people owning guns is rather ironic. Who wants to disarm them both? Democrats.

As is pointed out, the 1857 SCOTUS Dred Scott ruling kept black people as non-person slaves lest, according to the 2nd Amendment, “they go armed everywhere they went”. Gun controllers are pro-SLAVERY!

“Gun controllers are pro-SLAVERY!”
They want to enslave EVERYBODY.

@Huck, yes, all down through history, disarming people has always been a chief aspect of slavery.
“Both tyrant and oligarch mistrust the people and therefore deprive them of arms”–Aristotle, circa 300 B.C.
“The possession of arms is the distinction between a freeman and a slave. He, who has nothing, and who himself belongs to another, must be defended by him, whose property he is, and needs no arms. But he, who thinks he is his own master, and has what he can call his own, ought to have arms to defend himself, and what he possesses; else he lives precariously, and at discretion.” –James Burgh, 1714-1775, English statesman (before England devolved into disarmed barbarism)

Reminds me of a reflexive Lefty guy I once talked to online.
He wanted to get rid of all cops, because they’re bigoted and beat up gay people (that was his obsessive topic) and awful. He was also (and this one, quite reasonably) against gay bashing attacks
And he wanted to ban all guns.
Because nothing says “able to defend against violent group attacks as a young gay man” like “being utterly disarmed” – especially without even the possibility of police action against the aggressors.
Some people, well, they just can’t think through the consequences of their contradictory demands.
(Heck, get enough principles and you inevitably get tension between them; sane, rational, thoughtful people admit to the tensions and even if they don’t have The Fix, suggest that some compromise is inevitable.
Not other people, though. They just keep asserting each principle as if it’s perfect and immutable and there can’t be any possible tensions between their positions.)
