When you have some really dumb gun regulations
You get things like this:
Even though it has a short barrel, that is a non NFA firearm. The folks at Franklin Armory created the Reformation because they could. The reason it is not an NFA item is because it has straight cuts. And that makes it not a firearm.
I wonder if the name implies a hope for reforming stupid gun laws.

So… barrel it in .458 so ten rounds will fit in a standard NATO magazine, and shoot .30 caliber long fin-stabilized tungsten darts in a plastic sabot?
Can’t suppress it, but could use a not-a-flash-suppressor muzzle device to strip the sabot off.

Sounds to me like the lands and grooves are cut straight, rather than spiralling. Not sure if that is technically “rifling” since there would be no twist.
Not sure if that would do any better than a smoothbore in terms of stabilization, but maybe it would cause it not to be classified as a shotgun or rifle.

Yup, that is what it is.

OK, we know what it is. We know that it’s made to fall under a different legal definition, and all of that. Alright. Fine. Can anyone answer the following question without repeating any of the above?
What’s it for?

SBR fun without the SBR hassle. Can it be full auto legally?

>> Can it be full auto legally?
With the binary trigger option it shoots awfully fast as it is.
