Tempting
I’ve been happy with the M&Ps. But this makes a P320 tempting:
The EXO ONE (XO1) is a patent-pending multi-caliber exoskeleton for the Sig Sauer P320 Fire Control Unit (FCU). In 20 seconds, you can change your 320 pistol into a legal, bigger, more capable pistol with no FFL and no tools.

The ‘it’s not a rifle so screw the ATF’ segment of the market seems to be hot right now.

I don’t get it. The video says it uses the FCU from the pistol, but apparently it uses the entire pistol. So you’re just wrapping your whole pistol into that thingy, i.e. no advantage of an extended barrel?

@ Lyle: I thought that at first, too, but closer inspection of the dingus reveals to me that the lower frame/grip of the original Sig isn’t being used, but rather the trigger group, barrel and slide are placed into the dingus, which then closes up around it.

I thought Mec-Tec had patented all that. My Red Light illuminated with all the “operator” applecraple on that site, too.

It looks to me the same as it looked to Lyle. I was expecting to see a rifle (carbine) with the Sig FCU as its lower, that would be a logical notion. But I don’t see that in the images on that site. For example, it doesn’t have a longer barrel, which obviously you could do if you put the FCU to work on a new upper.

Meh. .45ACP is the only pistol caliber I need.

Don’t drop it.

Without a safety that’s asking for trouble. It’s one thing with a pistol where it’s in a holster that covers the trigger, but on a carbine that’s going to be slung along with pack and web gear, something is liable to get snagged in the trigger and make a loud noise when you don’t want it to.

@Paul Koning: If you dig deep enough through the crappy manufacturer website, you’ll see that the pistol grip is part of the design, and different textures are offered for the grip. In any case, why would they make such a big deal of taking the trigger group out of your pistole and dropping it into this gadget if you were really expected to drop your entire gun into it instead.

It’s really weird that the ATF let them get the trigger group classified as “the gun” for the P320, but I guess that makes this work – and I approve of modularity, definitely.
(I’m still really skeptical of the “but that’s a braaaaace, not a shoulder stock” dodge around the SBR classification, too, in the sense of “the ATF might change their mind tomorrow”.
And also in the sense of “how did they even fool the ATF once, that’s obviously a shoulder stock meant to be used as a shoulder stock and everyone that buys one knows that and why is everything stupid?”
Maybe I’m just bitter.
But we should just remove SBRs/SBSs from the NFA, FFS.)

I’ve finally arrived. I want to thank my sponsors and my family but most of all The Gun Feed for linking my comment (Above) on it’s page.
Seriously, I’m not sure what this actually signifies but I’m certain it’s a sign or an indicator of some sort.
Buy definitely get yourself one of these or another of those short barrels that’s not a pistol and/or not a rifle…because…Screw the ATF, that’s why.
SO HOT!

This is a joke, right? They’re not really trying to sell this POS, are they?

No photos of the right side of the system. Why not? Granted, that seems to be a common mistake of gun photographers, to only show one side. Still, it always makes me wonder what they are hiding.
