Agreed Lyle, but still, that amount of barrel whip on the AK is really gross. What’s going on there, exactly? Is that really flex of the barrel, or just angular oscillation of the entire weapon, and an optical illusion makes it seem as though the barrel is bending?
It’s tempting to imagine that the asymmetrical compensator at the end of the barrel has something to do with it, but that’s silly, that’s not nearly enough force to cause bending. But oscillation like that, if it’s overcompensating? Sure.
I’ll check this thread later to see if any of you guys with more knowledge than me comes up with an explanation.

There is no such thing as rigidity. There are only relative differences in non-rigidity.
