DOD and contractors had enough trouble developing smart bomb technology for small rockets, and that technology costs several thousand dollars a round. Who do they think is going to spend thousands of dollars a round for bullets, assuming they can even develop such a round? Me, I’m holding out for phasers and The Invaders heat ray. Will save a lot of paperwork with the cops.
If you can take this as the good news, this is old and she’s been out of that office for many years. Now she is a town clerk, although how she got a philosophy department post with all her education in politics and social welfare is beyond me. They must have had some very particular approach to philosophy they needed taught there, at…Suffolk County Community College.
They don’t hang themselves, you know. This is what it looks like when they lose.

“Well, yeah, if you’re talking plausibility and limit yourself to .50BMG and bigger, I guess?”
(DARPA had a working prototype .50BMG that was laser guided; passive IR seeking wouldn’t really be a stretch from there.
Sure, they’d be pointless and dumb and cost a few grand a shot, but scary!)
