About those hotel safes
Some of them are not all that secure because the hotels don’t reset the super user code:

Do make sure simple codes are not set in your room’s safe. And please use the safe to keep your valuables. I worked Hotel security and the number of people who left stuff in plain view and did not bother to secure the door when they left still amazes me.
PS: don’t be smart and “hide” stuff in what you think is a great spot inside the room as the workers know better than you all the secret locations. Oh, and you will probably will forget it and have to call the hotel to retrieve it.
