And we’re saved

The military has added 4,000 people to the no guns database maintained by the FBI.

So let me get this straight. The military gave these people access to guns, systems, and operational data and THEN said they shouldn’t have guns? Seems like a background check loophole to me.

This then proves that background checks don’t work right? Ooh, not in government land, kiddo.

  2. LKP Says:

No, they passed those background checks but committed crimes while in the service.

Well, it could also happen the other way, LKP. I personally know a man who had two drug convictions (cocaine possession w/intent to sell) turned felonies, cleaned up his life and joined the army. Years later, applies for a concealed carry permit in a completely different state, felonies get discovered, voila!, he is unable to own or touch guns. Army never knew about his background, until the denial of his concealed carry permit.

But, I concede the point that it generally happens the other way around.

  4. Fred Says:

Actually, YES. My point, LKP, is that the services now run background checks at least as in depth as the NICS check and way more in depth in many cases depending on job/rate classification.

Clearly, this proves that background don’t work.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
