I would predict that those who call for non-enforcement, amnesty, sanctuary cities and states will call for whatever is necessary for citizens who ignore an AWB. Judges who have appeased and accommodated immigration law violators would probably reverse themselves against citizens who act in accordance with the Bill of Rights.
Trump apparently OK’d Feinstein’s AWB to be added to the “comprehensive” School Safety legislative package. Yet he dismissed national reciprocity as part of it. He also endorsed the “universal background check”. Can someone explain how that would be enforced without a national registry and violation of the 4th and 5th. Otherwise, perhaps they are gonna say it should be done, but unless you have an ATF agent immediately on the scene to catch the private transaction, go ahead.

That Reason article is very optimistic. Matthew Bracken’s novels give the more pessimistic scenario. I hope Bracken is wrong, but I have my doubts.
