Hell, nothing’s changed in London for the past 40+ years. I was stationed in the UK in 1975-77 when I was in the USAF and at the newcomer’s briefing when I first arrived we were warned that the chances of getting mugged or killed in London were about twice that of New York City.
This could also mean that London’s emergency medical system, from ambulances & EMTs to trauma centers, is in decline. Or that NY has improved over the years, so less attacks end in death.
What is the total rate of all criminal violence in both cities, rather than the end result of such violence??

The 1997 gun ban should have resulted in peace and love there by now, no?

The only thing that matters is that in London you’ll be murdered with a knife instead of a gun which makes it all better.
