But narrative!
The evil gun lobby buying off politicians: Florida’s state lawmakers haven’t gotten a dime from the NRA since 2005
But Russia colluded with the NRA:
This document (also known as a letter) prompted headlines that ranged from The NRA received donations from Russian nationals to NRA discloses additional contributions from Russian donors. All of which probably sounded pretty damning to anyone who didnt read past a headline. Those who did, on the other hand, would soon learn that Russian nationals meant 23 Russian-linked individuals some of them Americans citizens living in Russia who had contributed around $2,300 total, mostly in membership dues, over three years time. Approximately $525 of that sum came from two individuals who made contributions to the NRA.
$525.

You mean to say that NRA members are allowed outside of the U.S.? Scandalous! Something must be done about it! Build a wall!

Once upon a time it was considered a good thing if people from other nations, particularly Russians, appreciated and desired to participate in our freedoms.

$2,300 doesn’t even get you thru the front door of the Clinton Foundation.

NRA should have responded to Senator Wyden in Kind. After all, who would believe the accusations of a man who f–ks chickens.

I have a semi-auto, self defense rifle that is stamped “Made in Russia”. Is that Russian collusion by the importer, the seller and me?
No, maybe it’s a conspiracy. Oh, but, “conspiracy” and “collusion” are synonyms in the dictionary.

@Ron W; That’s a good point. I’ve been “colluding” in that sense with Russians for decades. Likewise anyone who’s ever bought a box of Russian ammo, or most anything made of titanium.
