But of course
You know, if I ran the global warming business, I’d point out that the stuff we suggested is working since the earth is not actually warming. But that’s not what they do. And this also doesn’t surprise me: Climate skeptics more eco-friendly than global-warming alarmists: study

Of course; the alarmists WANT the climate to go to shit so they can use calamity and fear as a springboard to power. They can instill fear for only so long, but they need some real calamity now and then or it won’t stick.
I often wonder how many people understand this; the fact that there’s no overlap between the things they say for public consumption (the selling points), and the things they actually think and do (the real plan).

Lyle is right. Remember that these people are government people (or government fellow travelers). Government agencies NEVER want the “problem” they are allegedly “solving” actually to be solved, because then the agency might get shut down and they’d have to find honest work. Instead, they always want the problem to keep going, and they will use the lack of progress as an excuse for more funding and a larger empire.
Warmism is merely the latest in a very long string of abuses of this type.

This from the article says it all:
“Why? Even the researchers were stumped, although it’s possible that skeptics may place more emphasis on personal responsibility than government action.
‘These results suggest that different groups may prefer different strategies for addressing climate change,’ said the paper. ‘Thus, belief in climate change does not appear to be a necessary or sufficient condition for pro-environmental behavior…'”
