The Second Amendment Foundation is at it again:
A circuit court judge in Lake County, Illinois has granted an injunction against the Chicago suburb of Deerfield, blocking the village from enforcing a ban on so-called assault weapons, and handing a victory to the Second Amendment Foundation.
That’s very good news.

‘Anti-gun’ is just one of many reasons to leave Illinois. Why any rational person would stay there is beyond me.

@Tim: I promised my wife we wouldn’t move until our youngest is out of high school; I don’t want to move anywhere my wife isn’t moving with me.
With regard to the ruling, Lake County judges tend to be a lot more sensible than Cook County judges.

I saw where the NRA is trying to take credit too. One of the (several) things I don’t like about them is their bad tendency to try and take credit for the work of others.

Tim, live in Illinois and my opinion is, why should I have to move? Those bastards aren’t going to force me out of here!

@Tim, ironically “the Land of Lincoln” is a slave State. The 1857 SCOTUS Dred Scott ruling kept black people as non-persons and therefore legal slaves lest “they be able to go armed everywhere they went”.
BTW, Slavery was legal until AFTER The Civil War and the enactment of the 13th and 14th Amendments. Until then, Union Gen, Ulysses Grant was a slave owner. Down through history, disarming people and keeping that way was always the chief aspect of slavery.
