And I’m back
Had a good time and managed to visit the National Naval Aviation Museum. Looking the cockpits of some planes, I’d never fit in most of them.

Back in my TV days, I did a show that interviewed Chad Hennings. He flew A10s in the Air Force because it was one of the few planes he could fit into. He said that after he joined the NFL and did that training, he wouldn’t even fit into those.
Seeing him in person, I believe it. (Although I’ve also seen Nate Newton squeeze himself into the drivers seat of a Dodge Viper, so he might have underestimated.)

Yeah, cockpits are pretty small and in the older planes they weren’t very adjustable either. I remember a Navy recruiter telling me in high school that I’d need to stop growing now in order to still fit in the cockpit. I was only 6′ then.. and he told me that 6’2″ was about the max, depending on the aircraft.
