We’re from the government and we’re here to help
You’re not licensed by the government, so you can’t help: She tried to shelter pets from Hurricane Florence. Now shes been arrested.
They say she was providing veterinary care illegally.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

It has to be said: the charges won’t be there more than a day or so after she demands a jury trial.

The issue was she was that she had made a call out for schedule 2 drugs (opioids and other controlled substances) w/o a license. Probably no issue if she was using stuff she had on hand, but the request ‘to help a vet out’, got her in trouble. Put an ad in Craig’s List for Oxy and see who knocks on your door…

Classic.
Also classic is the apparent defense of the ridiculous authoritarian response based on drug laws.
Wait; do you have a license to talk about this? Hmm?

“Help a vet”
Is that “help an animal doctor” or “help an ex military who happens to have some animals in need of care”?
I don’t care at all, not one bit, but it may sometimes be prudent to clarify.
As far as I’m concerned you should be able to send your ten year old kid to purchase morphine at your local supermarket as easily as purchasing a loaf of bread. But we’ve been trained to accept the authoritarian narrative which says people can’t be, or shouldn’t be, trusted to make their own decisions and then live with the consequences.
Fuck all you authoritarian-brain-trained. You’re part of the problem. Don’t expect my deepest sympathies when your own shit hits the fan.
