   I read the article and it seemed a bit canned to me. Like Tim above, my silence doesn’t imply consent and I know “they” will not be content to stay on their side.

   Dude’s point about the sides being simplistic in their dismissal of one another is…simplistic.

   Contrast the response of the conservative electorate to the Obama election -twice- to the orchestrated campaign of hatred and obstruction being waged against Trump and Deplorables today. ‘Nuff said.

   I live in the United States, but my county is Dumbf-istan at heart. Breaking it down by state hides the urban-rural nature of the divide.

   It’s good to see more people waking up to the idea that the other side isn’t a mortal enemy, but I would love to see someone forward an actual solution instead of asking “can’t we all just get along?”
