One would hope – if not expect – that, in a predominately rural, and highly conservative southern state, that a “Second Amendment Sanctuary” would not be necessary. But, it is the Demonicratic, urban, liberal areas of Chattanooga, Knoxville, Nashville, and others, that make such an act necessary.

According to the wording of Article I, Section 26 of the Tennessee Constitution, every county MUST be a sanctuary city for the right to keep and carry weapons for self defense. In that section, the People DECLARE their right and the Legislature only has power for regulating the WEARING of arms, that is, how you carry, i.e., holstered, concealed or open for pistol, or a sling for long guns.
