Well, there’s a problem loading this webpage. Even the root of the account seems to be missing. Too bad. This would have been an interesting read – to read his opinions on what’s good in 9×19.
From what I have seen via the Lucky Gunner ammo tests, the tests were performed using short barrel firearms (like the S&W Shield) and the standard HST ammo fully expanded so I see no need to step up to the +p ammo. And interestly the +p ammo did not do as well as the standard 9mm hst round in the testing. Of course ymmv.
While a Good Guy should always strive to use the most-effective self-defense ammunition, please remember ExpatNJ’s Maxim:

I roll old school in .40 and.45, Win Silvertips. In my wondernines I like me some Remington or Hornady. XTPs or Sabers of Gold.
