Happy Thanksgiving
So, I’ve been, as time permits, adding stuff to the new Zev:
A while back, I wrote a post on Making the Switch (sidebar here). I mentioned switching from the wrong caliber to 9mm and so on. Some time soon, I’ll detail why I made the switch back (still keeping the right caliber) to the Glock platform. Meanwhile, Glock guys be like:
Miami Man In Van Guns Down AK-47 Wielding Robber Because He Didnt Want To Go Out Like A Punk
From the article:
The guy I killed last night, he put an AK-47 to my damn face,
[snip]
I am from Kingstontown in Jamaica, he said, and I am not going to go out like a punk. So I emptied my Glock in his chest. This man tried to get in my van while I was sleeping and he was surprised to see what I did.
I bet.
A woman was killed in her front yard by a pack of feral pigs. Avoid the wild things. They are, after all, wild.
Said photos do tend to queue up the online outrage machine. Following through to the news bit, I think that young lady didn’t get enough attention at some point.
I snagged a Zev OZ.9:
So far, I like it. Except, gun manufacturers, do me a favor: Stop putting hex head screws on things. Seriously, a spendy gun and the screws are so flimsy you think you’re going to strip them.
Anyhoo, more to come.
Are the Hong Kong riots turning people to the right side of the gun debate?
Also, this: Individuals kill retail. Governments do it wholesale.
I laughed hard at this:
Dave called me a Neo-Nazi on twitter.
That tweet cost Dave $1,200 in damages to me.
Plus his pinned apology tweet
Plus his own legal fees.
He wanted our agreement to be confidential.
It is not.

A prosecutor was killed when a gun presented as evidence “went off accidentally”. I’m going to guess someone tried to catch a dropped gun. Don’t do that.
Seems the shooter used a “ghost gun”:
The teenager who shot five classmates, killing two, at a Southern California high school used an unregistered ghost gun, Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said Thursday.
Villanueva told media outlets Thursday that 16-year-old Nathaniel Tennosuke Berhow’s .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol was assembled from gun parts and did not have a serial number.
I was unaware that 80% 1911 receivers were a thing. But they are.
I don’t know what it is but I want one:
The beauty of it is that we don’t have to have just one. However, this guy chose the shot gat. As I said, we don’t have to limit ourselves to one but what if? I’d have to go with my Ruger Match Champion. It doesn’t check off one specific box well but rather it’s decent at a bit of everything. Has more power for larger game than a 9mm. It’s concealable, unlike a rifle. And has an adequate range.
What say you?
Putting trauma victims into suspended animation.
An invisibility cloak. I’ll believe it when I don’t see it.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
