The article says that the gun checks in question took more than 88 days. So it’s a good thing there is a legal time limit on how long the government can stall a background check, otherwise the bad guys would slow-roll everything to turn the right to bear arms into a dead letter.
How are “universal background checks” to be enforced without violating the 4th and 5th Amendments? You know, “the rule of law” and “no one is above the law” and all that good stuff they tell us they’re for.

@pkoning, I think it’s darker than that…this is a transparent effort to eliminate the purge rule, including for approvals.
That right there is the database for seizure.
