I thought that was the point
You know, spreading the good news and all: Pope says Christians should never seek to convert unbelievers, anyone who proselytizes “is not a disciple of Jesus”
Commie pope rarely disappoints.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

I respectfully disagree with the Bishop of Rome. His interpretation of the Great Commission is, IMO, flawed.

Earth Pig, While I also disagree with the Pope theologically on this, I heartily approve of the concept.

Either he hasn’t read Matthew 10 in a while, or admit he has abdicated his apostolic succession.

Francis, per the article:
“The Church does not grow by proselytism”.
So, in interest of growing The Church, Pope Francis should instead convert himself to Soylent Green, you know, so he can feed the masses.

We’d be fortunate if he were just a commie. Suspect he’s far worse. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets his arse “impeached”.

Uh, help an agnostic out here, didn’t the apostles, people who actually knew and followed Jesus in his lifetime, spend much of their time proselytizing?

So in the bible, God tells Christians it is their purpose to witness to others, to bring them to Christ, and give them ever lasting life, Gods greatest gift to man. The pope in 2019 has decided that God was kidding? When Kanye West is telling people to witness to others, and the Pope has declared he is smarter and more informed than God, something is not right.

Religion has always been a matter of convenience. When something becomes politically incorrect, or financially disadvantageous, simply rewrite the rules to suit. Problem solved. This is a Pope following millennia of precedent.

Indeed. Matthew 4:19 *”And he said to them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”*

This is all perfectly in keeping with the behavior of the anti-Christ (the vicar of Christ, meaning “he who stands in the place of Christ”).
The papacy (the Beast) will of course continue to proselytize with its climate change alarmism, advocacy of coercive redistribution, and its ecumenical nonsense (also anti-Biblical), but what they really can’t stand is when actual, Biblical Christians attempt to correct them.
It’s just bad optics when the papacy is made to look, in public, like the impostors, liars and scheming power mongers that they are. This new suggestion of theirs is in fact a threat. They’re saying “Shut up, or else!” They aim to bring on a new, high-tech version of the good old Dark Ages, and all indications are that they’ll succeed. Freedom of speech is a problem here, of course.
The U.S.A. is helping them in that endeavor, including Trump and Pence. Incidentally; Washington DC and Rome are officially sister cities, that status having been reaffirmed during the Obama administration.
So one of the last marching orders we’re given as Christians is to expose Babylon, the beast, and to enjoin others to “Come out of Babylon! Come out of her my people!” Clearly, the papacy must oppose this process as it has opposed everything else Biblical. While the message of “come out and be separate” is repeated throughout the Old and New Testaments, and while we are entreated to “have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them” the papacy is strenuously campaigning for all religions to come together (under papal rule, which they’ll find out only later).

I shouldn’t be anymore, but it amazes me how little Francis knows of the Church’s doctrine and how often (and thoroughly) he practices heresy. A Pope who is a heretic, who would have thunk it.
