Good idea
The concept of having a lever gun in the same caliber as a revolver is appealing. This looks like a good choice for lever actions.

So, has there been a parallel concept proposed, wherein one has a semiauto rifle or carbine in the same caliber as one’s semiauto pistol?

The SUB-2000 takes Glock mags and is the only reason I still own a Kel-Tec. Might trade out for the new Ruger.

For whatever reason, I’ve always liked having that kind of setup, semi-auto included. The shortcomings are outweighed by the advantages. At least for me.

Marlin used to make the Camp Carbine in both 9mm and .45ACP. The .45 model takes 1911 magazines.
In the 15 years it took me to find ONE in .45 I’d only ever seen 3 or 4 in 9mm. And I had been looking for one for that long.
When I saw the .45 recently at a gun show, I of course immediately purchased it without haggling. I also bought some extended 1911 mags for it. Then the very next gun show the exact same guy was selling another Marlin Camp Carbine in .45. I should have purchased that one too, but I didn’t have the funds for a second one.

I know this is heresy, but I bought a Rossi M92 in .357 years ago, to mate with the 686+. Believe it or not, the Rossi runs like a champ, eats everything .38 & .357. Believe I paid $550 with the transfer fee. I’ll never get rid of it.

I’ve been waiting for Henry to come out with the side load feature in .357. I like that, but I wonder if they make it with walnut stocks and a little longer barrel (18-20) with a 9-10 rd tube mag?
