2A Advocacy in Gaming
Andrew Gottlieb is launching 2A Gaming as a way of reaching the millions upon millions of people who are steeped in firearm-based video gaming but non-committal when time comes to vote for pro-gun candidates.
This could be interesting. On the one hand, gamers might get irate at turning their hobby into a political issue. On the other hand, it might actually work.

First-person shooters (the bedrock of firearm gaming) are a mixed blessing. They train up perception and reflexes, but the interface is nothing like a firearm. We might raise up a generation more willing to shoot, but less competent at it. But that’s an argument that’s been going on for decades, and while it’s been decisively settled, few are willing to agree on what the decision is. I suspect trying to fold politics into the discussion will not help.

Gamergate already made everything in gaming political. Gamers realize that they can’t opt out of the fight anymore, and they don’t want to be on the woke-scold side.

Gamers recognize the games being played upon them, and gamers play to win.

Hello, fellow kids!

Well, our adversaries are more than willing to co-opt every form of entertainment to push their political views.
That’s on top of the Tom Tuttle from Tacoma treatment the kids can get through our education system.

So, which gun manufacturer will be the first to name a gun “Deagle”?

@David: Obviously, a company named “Deagle” + [Firearms|Systems|Manufacturing|some other operator word].
Because people who want Deagles want Deagle-brand Deagles.
