He lives about 5 miles from me, in Maryville. I’ve been checking the wires and talked to someone at the KNS. The ATF usually likes to issue press releases after things like this but hasn’t yet in this case. That tells me their still getting their collective poop together.
As of now, I do not know who is lawyer is. When I know, you will too.

If you get the time, inquire at his local bank for a way to set up a legal defense fund or something. Typically you give out the address of the bank. Or ask his lawyer to offer his professional address. Not everyone trusts paypal.
With an address I can just have my “online bill pay” send a check, Scoot gets 100%.
So you say there’s a hearing about ATF abuse in DC today? 🙂

“This …. has to be fought by their rules ” Hmmm. Does this mean we can emulate their tactics? You know, illegal search and seizure, armed robbery, aggravated assault, violation of civil rights, assault with deadly weapons, etc, etc?

Well, if you are willing to take the risk of false accusations, absent an existing fund, you can accept payments to a PO Box, publish the PO box in a local paper, and then have all those who donate, include the PO box/adress, in the memo line. That alone is enough to Contain funds, I think, But actually avoiding person income, and stuff like that is a bigger bitch, I’m sure you know the cats who can do that.
When I was a teen, a number of friends had a number of bands, and they volunteered for a number of “benefits” the insurance company suggested such an action, but luckily the person recieving the money had a lawyer, and the BASIC identification of the, not yet, TECHNICALY existing charity was routed through one of several PO boxes the lawyer maintained for clients. Thats the only reason I say that.
