I see more dumb people
So, why is this dude stealing my shit?
Should I give the disgusting picture treatment? Or other?
Update: That’ll teach him.
Update 2: Didn’t take the hint, had to get real nasty with it. Removed link because it’s, err, absolutely disgusting. Someone will get their myspace account suspended.
Update 3: Ok, that was too much for even me. Image deleted.

LMAO…I dont think there is anything worse than Hasselhoff semi-nude…

Yeah, the MS peeps are horrible for that.
Nail ’em.
August 25th, 2006 at 6:19 pm
oh, that’s soooo brutal!
August 25th, 2006 at 6:41 pm
That is a savage mauling. 🙂
August 25th, 2006 at 6:43 pm
Hehehehe.
Justin, I have two words for you: Rosie O’Donnel.
August 25th, 2006 at 6:55 pm
I like your style.
I had to do a similar thing to another MySpacer once. They were hotlinking off a picture from my site of some hot chick. I replaced it with a very large, provacative image of the cast from “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”

Times like this? I think we need to bring back goatse.cx.
August 25th, 2006 at 9:33 pm
Jd, i’m glad that link doesn’t work anymore. oy.

I’d have gone with Tubgirl. But that’ll do.
August 25th, 2006 at 10:09 pm
Dude, ravenwood’s tub girl almost made me vomit.
August 25th, 2006 at 11:06 pm
Oh. My. God. That’s one of the best image switches I’ve seen. It’s so wrong, but not disgusting.
To use a gaming nerd term: pwnt.

Savage mauling. Heh.
August 26th, 2006 at 10:09 am
I had to do that to a MySpacer a while back. The one photo they were hotlinking drove my bandwidth usage up 1200% over my monthly average.

Justin said “I dont think there is anything worse than Hasselhoff semi-nude”
Hasselhoff fully nude?
August 26th, 2006 at 6:33 pm
Recursive Hasselhoff?
August 26th, 2006 at 6:35 pm
Crap, that’ll teach me to comment first, and read the full thread later.
August 26th, 2006 at 7:12 pm
Ow! Stomach cramp! Make it stop!
August 26th, 2006 at 11:14 pm
SayUncle,
Dude, even though this trick is pretty much THE standard mischief for bandwidth theft, I think you are missing one of the finer points.
On most browsers, There’s a cache. What is happening here is that the original image is still in the cache of Mr. Cole. He still sees the baby and the dog.
All his readers, however, see an annoying animated gif. The first commenter called him a dork, but she didn’t explain why. I see tonight there is a second comment, and if “king cole” actually is reading his comments, he’s probably scratching his head by now. He sure looks clueless.
And as an aside, if anyone else finds animated gifs Really Fscking Annoying, if you are using Firefox, just hit the ESC key, that will freeze the picture.

There was a myspace case guy that totaly ripped off a post of mine, (no pic though). I was almost tempted to get a myspace account, so I could comment, but that would be going over to the dark side.
I sent an email instead. I never did get him to link back to my blog, but at least he never claimed my post as his own, he just copied the whole damn thing

Why not just do a quick .jpg with “This post stolen from http://WWW.SAYUNCLE.COM! COME VISIT! Maybe you’ll like it enough to plagarize too!
August 27th, 2006 at 9:38 pm
Addison, good idea. I’d like to combine that with another idea I saw somewhere. What you do is make your picture really short, but annoying long so it scrolls off the page. It goes a little like this.
August 29th, 2006 at 3:11 pm
Uncle,
You go too easy on people. I usually use this image:
(not safe for anything)
Ed Note: Deleted link. Too disgusting but it was the one I used and backed out of.

Ravenwood’s Note: Heh. Coward.
