A bit more Zumbo
Although it wasn’t asked for he has my forgiveness. We are a community and like any community we can’t expect to get along all the time. Unfortunately, I can see this as a dividing line between the hunters who have their sport and the shooters. This is the time when we all have to be aware of the attacks that our way of life is coming under. Hunters are loosing lands that they can hunt on while shooters are having a hard time finding ranges due to closures. Why is this continuing to be an issue? Mr. Zumbo has apologized. Time to move on. Mr. Zumbo should take another chance and make himself heard again and his prior sponsors should give him the opportunity to do so.
Update: Speaking of, Mr. Completely has invited Mr. Zumbo to the Gun Blogger Rendezvous.

It’s not easy. I belong to a good sized sptsmns club in eastern Ma. The subject of making joining the NRA or GOAL mandatory for all members has come up a few times and has been shot down because “A lot of the members are only interested in hunting, fishing, trap shooting, etc.” However, we will not give up on this. I think inviting Jim Zumbo to the Rendezvous is an outstanding idea! I hope he accepts. (And I hope I can make it myself.)

I concur with Kevin on the Zumbo issue.
I would like to believe that he can be a force in uniting both sides of the argument. From his recent postings I’m pretty certain he has seen the light.
And he really needs to get a blog going, something the GBR could certainly help with.

I hope he is in St. Louis for the NRA annual meeting. I think he has seen the light and should be given another chance.

I just want him to shut up! Period! There is nothing he can say now, that will not hurt us.
If he has truly seen the light, we will be accused of forcing him to relinquish his principles in order for him to save his career. If he has not seen the light and is only saying what we want to hear to save his career they will be right.
There just isn’t anything he can say that will not hurt us. I just want him to shut the fuck up.
