Fast and Furious Stuff
Gunwalker part, what, 4 or so? Gunwalking in Houston.
Leads to gun control debate? Why doesn’t it lead to an ATF control debate? Looks like it worked as planned, to gin up gun control.

Apparently, the candidates in that debate no one watched were asked about it.
Feds are doing a forensic audit of Mike’s email to figure out who leaked Fast and Furious.
Going after Holder means you’re a racist, of course.
Attorney General Eric Holder insists “nobody at the Justice Department has lied” about the gun-running scandal Fast and Furious. That in itself is a lie, as his deputy’s emails prove.
Mother Jones doesn’t care that the DOJ may have committed crimes. Instead, they care that this was brought to light by a militia man.
They grow up so fast: F&F a year ago. Well, I think these two guys were on it before then.
Some good news that doesn’t involve giving guns to Mexican drug lords.
Holder does not divulge who authorized letting guns go to Mexico.
Of course, Bloomberg wants to give Holder a pass. It’s something Bloomberg would do himself. He’s a man who went to other states and broke gun laws to prove his point and that’s what is happening here.
Testimony gets a little heated
Holder, democrats uses it to make the case for gun control. Holder would resign, if he were any kind of man.
Homeland Security Committee to investigate as well.
No-confidence motion against Holder to be introduced in House on Thursday
From the transcripts, Holder seems more intent on speechifying against gun rights, evasive, and outright defiant. Smells of either a cover up or a flippant disregard for knowing he’s above the law.
MJM: Fast & Furious as RICO–a criminal conspiracy, to deprive US citizens of a civil right
Kevin doesn’t think much will happen.
prosecute the people responsible for this atrocious abuse of power.
You know, you make the claim that ATF was using their smuggling of guns into Mexico to make the case for stronger gun laws and people call you nuts. Except that, now, CBS is claiming that same thing:
Documents obtained by CBS News show that the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) discussed using their covert operation “Fast and Furious” to argue for controversial new rules about gun sales.
US approved large scale gun sales to Mexico. 9,000 go missing. but, remember, the press and the anti-gunners (but I repeat myslef) told us it was those US gun shows flooding guns south.
Holder shouldn’t be asked to resign. He should be charged.
Justice Department claims that they were lied to with respect to walking guns into Mexico. If Holder is to be taken at his word, then expect fewer calls for his resignation. But something needs to be done about ATF.
The document dump isn’t painting to good a picture of Eric Holder and the JD’s involvement in sending guns to Mexico: The angry denials, the high dudgeon, the how-dare-you accuse-us bleating emanating from Eric Holder’s Justice Department these last nine months.
Update: More here.
The Paper of Making Up The Record goes to bat for the Obama administration over Fast and Furious. Though I agree that Obama has avoided the gun issue, except for that ‘under the radar’ thing.
As predicted, articles telling the bitter-clingers to calm down, Obama won’t take your guns. Expect more.
And a new one on me: multiple-clip magazine. Layers of editorial oversight!
Botched operation with guns linked to 300 murders, including one of a border agent. Calls for the AG’s resignation. So, let’s crack down on the whistleblowers.
ATF investigates tofu explosion: investigators were baffled at first when a woman cooking tofu in her Northwest Portland apartment Sunday night caused an explosion that blew out a 4-by-6 foot picture window and caused an estimated $15,000 in damage. The woman suffered a small burn to her hand but was otherwise unhurt.
Amazing but Eric Holder actually blames The Daily Caller for the Fast and Furious fiasco: You guys are behind it. That’s ballsy.
Seems that Fast and Furious is a red herring and a republican political ploy. And we need more gun control. Or something. Well, the more I read, the only thing consistent with the operation is the more gun control part.
A good read on the dealer that ATF told to sell weapons to cartel members.
In most scandals, one can usually grasp just what the motives behind the wrongdoers was. Tom Clancy once quoted the four motives for political defectors as “MICE” — Money, Ideology, Coercion, and Ego. That applies pretty well to political corruption motives, too. But in this case, nothing seems to make any sense. Many, many pixels have died futile deaths in trying to find out just what the hell the people behind F&F were trying to achieve.
My theory is that it’s purpose was the “under the radar” gun control push. It’s the only thing that makes sense. A couple of years back, the editorial boards of newspapers were ALL MEXICO ALL THE TIME, stating that 90% of guns going to Mexico came from US gun shows or some such. And it was the NRA’s fault. It was, of course, a lie and refuted often. Someone needed it to be an issue to make a gun control push politically viable again.
The anti-gunners and editorial boards (but I repeat myself) couldn’t do it. They’ve been losing on nearly every gun issue for two decades. They needed something, any issue, to score a victory. Like the supposed ‘assault weapons’ issue, they just invented one.
First, ATF classifies a shoestring as a machine gun. Now, ATF has classified Chore Boy copper cleaning pads, along with fiberglass insulation as sound suppressors. This means my house is full of silencers! And so is yours!
Firearms regulations are a joke.
Federal prosecutors allege that Mexican drug gangs plotted attacks on US government buildings to send the US a message.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
