To Apple, over a patent lawsuit. Wow, you mean they may have used ideas from other smartphones? Kinda like that nice new notification bar you got there?
AirDroid. Pretty slick. Lets you manage your droid from your PC over wifi. This includes market, apps and you can even text right from your machine. Very handy to have.
Mentioned it a bit back. But here’s more detail on it. Also, this is not a Google thing. It’s carrier specific. You can see if your phone is running the offending app by using this app. Mine is all clean, and I use Verizon. Dammit, this makes me want to root my phone again.
ZOMG iMessage will change the world. Ages back, my blackberry did that. My droids have always done that. And Google Voice does that. I don’t think this will be the end of carriers since it hasn’t been yet and there are more droid and blackberry users than iPhone users.
So, it has voice commands like my Android based phones have had for years? Cutting edge there! Also, this past weekend, my DroidX did a software upgrade. The thing I noticed most about the upgrade is that they tried to make the software look more iPhony with flashy rotating screens, rounded edges, and how the […]

How My Smart Phone Got Me Out Of A Speeding Ticket In Traffic Court
A cool list and some are new to me. I did not know about the Reader app.
Rooted my phone this past weekend to get rid of a lot of the bloatware installed on it. And to make it a wireless hotspot. What other cool things can you do with a rooted Droid?
I has one.
Cool
iPhone owners get more.
Here’s how to force the upgrade. I’ll let you know how it goes. Update: Ok, that was easy. Doesn’t really seem all that different though the phone, apps and browser buttons at the bottom are nice. Update 2: Tethering. Sweet.
For $200. And it has USB slots.
Engadget has a preview.
Some of us who couldn’t wait shelled out $200 for one when they first came out. Others waited and got them for $20.
Heh.
Not here, but here.
Reader Cyrus asks: what are the features you would want in a shot timer on a phone? I am working on learning to program in andriod, and i think this would be a good project.
Justin has one. I gave up on the WiFi a bit back since the 3G is pretty darn fast. And I only charge mine about once every three days.
I apparently woke up with the upgraded version this morning. Playing around with it, it has a few nice features: Improved weather app. Voice to text. Handy when sending a text message. I’m a fan. The live wallpapers are slick. Very pretty. Useless. But slick. Pinch zoom in and out for browser. Holy iPhone, Batman. […]
Supposedly, Android 2.1 (i.e., the OS on the Nexus One) is set to update Droid phones on January 22. There’s a cracked version out there but rumors are that it’s quite flaky. I wonder what 2.1 has in store? From screen shots, it looks pretty snazzy.
Google Goggles. Snap a picture of an object and it will search the web based on the pic. It has, thus far, been surprisingly accurate. I googled up two books based on a pic of the cover. Then, I snapped a photo of my EeePC. And Google went to Google’s home page because that was […]
By now, you probably realize that I love my Droid. Via insty, it knocked iPhone out of top spot in Time Magazine’s Gadget of the Year. Meanwhile, CNET calls it for the iPhone. You know, so long as you don’t need it to be a phone. Also, I recently got Google Voice and it is […]
Board and blogs for Droid stuff at Feisty Little Droid.
I found one at their market place. Can’t link it from webpage but if you search for ballistic from your phone, it shows up.
Taurus has a free shot timer for the iPhone.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
