Mike Bloomberg to host fundraiser for Democrat Phil Bredesen in tight Tennessee Senate race
He was a good governor but I don’t think he’s right for the senate.
One of the things I didn’t care for on the VP9 was the Walther style magazine release next to the trigger guard. I had a Walther p22 and, on more than one occasion, somehow dumped the magazine during a string of fire. Seems they’ve fixed that.
The issue just sort of seemed to go away. But Trump is now saying that it’s coming in a few weeks. And that he’s told the NRA that. He then explains to the press about the rules and regulations. And public hearings. Trouble is, this plan is exactly wrong. To enact such a ban would require a law passed by congress. Not the interpretative legal gymnastics that occur at bureaucracies.
Dumbfuckistan. This kind of gets to what we talked about yesterday with the urbans and the rurals.
The Kavanaugh stuff is about abortion:
Yes, there are politicians including Governor Cuomo that would be upset if their signature gun control laws were shot down by SCOTUS. However, the main difference between the issues is that abortion has a legitimate grassroots surrounding it and gun control does not.
Gun control is largely astroturf.
Instead of what we had in our first Civil War which was state against state over a specific ideal, what we have now is urban versus rural and I don’t think the urbans realize just how many rurals there are. The rurals do not wish to be controlled by the urbans. And we will not put up with it if they try to impose their will on us.
We shall see.
A year after Vegas shooting, ATF emails reveal blame, alarm over bump stocks.
ATF stated they were suddenly thrown into the political by NRA, who pointed out they were ATF approved.
No, that is not an example of media ignorance on guns. Some guy has invented a gun that he hopes the Army will buy:
Per The Gazette, it’s packed with all manner of wizbang technology. Bullets are cased in a block of four. And there are four barrels. It can fire one or four bullets And the firing mechanism is electronic
Gov. Jerry Brown signs bill raising age to buy rifles, shotguns to 21. Even more Cali gun control. That ought to fix it.
I’ve not commented on it. But this is a national embarrassment. And both sides of the debate should be ashamed. For the republicans saying “it was 30 years ago”. Doesn’t matter if it was 5 minutes ago. If it happened it did.
Except I highly doubt it did happen. She has no date, place, or location. Her three witnesses did not back up her claim. And her senate appearance was an embarrassment to her. And the line of the Republican’s attorney during the hearing wasn’t for us. It was for the squishy republicans whose votes are needed. Hence, her angle of leading someone to think this was a political ploy. Which I really don’t doubt it was.
Republicans, you have the senate. Act like it.
Teacher fired after refusing to abide by No zero’ policy when students didn’t hand in work
The future is stupid.
Turns out, when they call for the deaths of gun owners, sometimes prospective employers google them up.
That’s the claim by SilencerCo about their switchback suppressor:
Inspired by technology used in rocket diffusers, when oriented in one direction the front section exhibits the most competitive sound reduction on the market for pistols, but when the orientation is flipped the result is unprecedented sound reduction on rifles.
I’d like to try one out.
Heh:
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
